Is asthma contagious?

My friend is having asthma and I am worried that I may also get infected since I share room with him. Want to know is asthma really infectious. Can I also develop the symptoms of asthma over period of time? Please need your suggestions. Any body help me?

misti 		Well, relax buddy as Asthma is certainly not infectious and one cannot develop the symptoms due to coming in contact. Although non contagious but asthma is dreadful disease that causes symptoms such as wheezing, cough, chest pain and difficulty in breathing. Asthma attacks can be triggered due to allergies including dust, pollen, mites, stress and physical activities like climbing stairs.

Asthma is a chronic respiratory infection that is caused due to inflammation of the bronchioles thus obstructing air passage. However, asthma is a hereditary in nature that means, it can be transferred from generation to generation. There are high chances for you to develop asthma if your parents had. Unfortunately, there is no permanent cure for asthma. If once infected, the person suffers from it for the rest of their life. But its symptoms can definitely be prevented by taking precautions. Alternatively, one can also take asthma mist. It is a natural homeopathic spray formula for asthmatics. But it is not to be considered as a substitute for inhalers as claimed by asthma mist review. It is an honest source of information and does not supports any fake claims.
